Situated 18 kilometres outside of the city of Mutare, Kings Courtyard is accessible by tarred road. King’s Courtyard Vumba comprises of two properties, Pat Wilde Estate which was built in the 1950s and Havillah also known as Dunroming which was built in the early 1970s.The rich colonial history is evidenced in the architectural style of the buildings that has been carefully preserved over many decades. The Royal Courtyard Private Limited bought both properties in 2012 and 2013 respectively. They started renovations in 2018, transforming the residential houses into a boutique hotel. The properties are now a classic “old meets new” with sleek modern furnishings juxtaposed with the colonial architecture. King’s Courtyard sits on more than 25 acres of pristine mount valley, marked with hilly terrain, cultured with rich flora and fauna.
